The Edgecombe County Detention Center is located on Anaconda Road. It has the capacity to house up to 255 inmates. The updated facility was completed in 1999. The Detention Center Annex is located within the courthouse at 301 St. Andrews Street. This facility has the capacity to house up to 93 inmates.
